Try re-downloading the ZIP file from the Members Area and re-upload all files (except config.php.bkp, core/includes/config.php.new and the core/install directory) making sure you overwrite all files currently on your server then re-run the upgrade script taking note of any issue in the steps list.

    Does this resolve the problem?

Log onto your server via FTP or via your File Manager in your server control panel and verify that all these files actually exist

Pretty much fixed via the ticket.

URL settings were wrong for the location of the installation, which we've fixed. The Wordpress installation sitting above vB5 is still causing some issues, though there are workarounds.

Try disabling that plugin and see if it fixes the cookie issue.

Make sure you redirect non-www to the www site (or vice-versa, depending on what your Forum URL is set to be). If you don't do that, you could have cookie issues with users logging it at the non-www link and then ending up on a www page and logged out.
