Stuck on step 2 during install

it seems to connect to the db just fine, but gets stuck on 2, where do I look for the error log to see where it is stuck?

Try hitting refresh and see if it continues

no luck, been at it for over 2 hours with refreshing, etc

F5 brings me back to the 'begin install' button.

then it sits at Step 2 of 7, I'm hosted with dreamhost.

Databases get created up until bbcode

update: created a whole new database/users, etc - still not working.

Mine is doing the same, Step 2 - Creating access tables, been doing that for half an hour. I changed computers in case it was Windows 8, but this present one is Windows 7 and now still creating access table an hour later.

I'm on a mac with chrome, i'll try on my win7 box.

I removed all files, redownloaded vb 5 from my windows 7 box, reconfigured the config files, sent all new files over to dreamhost - got the same thing on getting stuck on step 2.

I shall have another go on a laptop today. New download, do the changes and if it happens again, I will put in a ticket.

It would be nice to have some official suggestions?

Can anyone else confirm if it always stops on the bbcode table? (View your database after the install fails and see what the last table to make it was)

Are you all on Dreamhost?

These are the reasons it is in Beta- to get this stuff sorted before a Gold release.

no, it doesn't stop at bbcode table.
