Path errors after install

Because of some more errors, i do open my own support thread. I installed vBulletin 5 Connect (Beta 14 & fresh) on my Ubuntu 10.04 server and also on localhost. Everytime i get the same errors. The installation works fine, with no errors. But finally my server don't find some paths. For example to the Admin CP, the xml-sitemap.Iam sure, there will follow more problems later. So i please you, to fix the bug.

So here are my config files:

(i've marked edited lines with ***)

I do upload the .htaccess file. All needed modules (mod_rewrite) (xml, JSON, cURL) are running. I try to change the url to www.********.net. I try it with empty $config['Misc']['forumpath'] (works also). I try to install in a folder (http://********.net/forum). I try to install vBulletin 4.2 (no errors!). I do not try to ask my mother.

These paths don't work:

http://********.net/admincp/
http://********.net/modcp/
http://********.net/core/
http://********.net/core/xmlsitemap.php

I am sure, there are some more. So what can i do? Did I make a mistake?

The only time you should have /core in the browser URL is when going to /core/install/upgrade.php (or install.php). Other than that, it should never bee in the URL. Your forum should be at http://politikboard.net/ However, I can't view it since it is .htaccess protected.

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

W3Schools <- awesome site for html/css help

You have your Forum URL incorrect. When you install the forum, it asks for the Forum URL. It gives you a default that ends in /core. It seems you changed that and removed the /core? If so, you need to login to your admincp (the one that works - http://politikboard.net/core/admincp/) and change it to include /core at the end.

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

I am sure, i did not. Where in the database is the entry?

INSERT INTO `setting` (`varname`, `grouptitle`, `value`, `defaultvalue`, `optioncode`, `displayorder`, `advanced`, `volatile`, `datatype`, `product`, `validationcode`, `blacklist`, `ispublic`) VALUES
('bburl', 'address', 'http://********.net/core', 'http://www.example.com/forums', '', 20, 0, 1, 'free', 'vbulletin', 'return ($data AND preg_match(''#^https?://.+[^/]$#i'', $data));', 0, 1);
I knew, that http://********.net/core/admincp/ works.

And the URL includes /core.

Modifying directly in the 'setting' table will not fix it, datastore needs to be rebuilt too. Save the form without any change to do this.

Your admincp should be at http://politikboard.net/admincp/, not http://politikboard.net/core/admincp/

What version of PHP and MySQL are you running?

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

Currently your forums are off. Can you turn them on?

Thanks. The front-end paths seem to be working. What do the contents of your .htaccess file look like? The default?

I use the default one and just extend it with some auth code. I first try the default only. But it's the same.

To be absolutly sure, that i do nothing's wrong, i've installed again with an other browser yet. I have the same problems. I think, it is a cookie problem. My installation works fine. Only the paths/links to/from Admin CP are affected. I made some screenshots. You can see, how i've configured the installation. Between: After install, i get no message about not removing the install.php. I removed it anyway.

Cookie1 is the first cookie i get, when i open the site (********.net). Cookie2 i get after login. Cookie3 is from after login into Admin CP.

Maybe you can't reproduce the error, because your browser hold cookies? My cookies all deleted, when i close the browser.

I don't see anything wrong in your screenshots that would indicate a cookie issue. I don't think this is something that we can solve without direct and full access to your server. You'll need to open a support ticket and reference this thread.
