I've just noticed that makeconfig.php creates a file with user/owner 99 (unknown). This might want to be rectified as I have had to SSH into my server to edit the config file.

makeconfig.php is currently not intended for advanced users (people who SSH in.)
It's intended for people who only upload and edit via FTP.
I will edit the documentation to reflect this.

I haven't messed with vb5 since 5.0 and we had to edit presentation file at that time. When going in to edit the file it is different and says
This file should NOT be modified. Only renamed.... -
