    placement customattachments directory ?

    Hello,

I have a prety fresh install of vbulletin, but i wan't to know where is the best place to store the attachments.
I wan't them to be stored in the file system, but having trouble getting them displayed after uploading from tapatalk.

could this be the location they are stored ?

currently they are stored in forumroot\customattachments

or should it be placed in customattachments\forumroot

and should it be chmod 777, becaus when a new user post a image the user dir is 755.

so need some advice on it.

i somewhat narrowed the problem, when uploading an image, the image is written into the right directory, but it is not stored in the database table.
normal when i do a search on new attachments, these freshly uploaded images should be displayed, but they arent there.

When i look into the tekst i can see the attachment filename (like 181) when i look in the directory of that user i can see the file, but it isn't loaden.

Need some realy fast and helpfull answer for this problem.

see screenshot for info in the browser, when i look on the server there are 2 files there 193.thumb and 193.attach

Are you allowing guests to view images/thumbnails/download attachments?
