    Configuration Builder

I have filled in all relevant information to start the configuration builder and I end up with this error message:

    There was an error:
    • Was not able to write to the file . Please check your write permissions and try again.
    • Was not able to write to the file . Please check your write permissions and try again.

    Please go backand try again.

    I am using windows 2008 R2 and apache 2.4.1
I have even reset security to everyone on all files just to see if that resolves the issue?
Could someone please tell me what I have to do to overcome this problem?

Sometimes I have found that it's quicker to create the config files yourself when this error occurs...makeconfig just doesn't work on all configurations.

If you're certain permissions are correct, the best bet is to manually edit your config.php files (there are two), upload them, and then run the installer again - it will then skip the makeconfig step.

I have tried that but keep being told I have something wrong. I had already asked Wayne to send me a new config file based on the server.php results but he advised me to try this method. When I manually edit the config files, the urls for the admincp do not route correctly.
I just want someone to edit my config file correctly so I can see how it is done for future reference and to get the install to work correctly.
Can I PM you the server.php results

Send a support ticket in for my attention and I will take a look as soon as I can.

I will need ftp access, intended URL, and your database credentials. Please put these in the Sensitive Data field.

              And what's the bug?
I'm fighting since 1.5h with the ****ing installation

              if i'm using installer =>
Was not able to write to the file . Please check your write permissions and try again.
then i've created the 2 config files myself => not working too

And the installer is horrible! Too many unnecessary fields without default values
