What are the exact settings you have chosen for your Latest Topics Module. Please write the value of each option in your reply, including every channel selected in the select box. Screenshots are less than helpful in this scenario.

If I'm looking at this correctly it's a trending posts module which means it will only display posts which meet the criteria. That won't be any specific number of posts. You might have 20 trending at one time and then only three trending the next time the query runs.

Trending is not the same as Latest Posts. It is a specialty sort and will not return the same results. A trending post could be months old but suddenly have interest and a number of replies. Change the sort order to "Date - Last Update" to have the latest topics in the list. You should also uncheck "Load from Current Page" and select something like the "Forum" channel.

The "Latest Post" module is a "Search" module with its name set to "Latest Posts" with the sort order set to "Date - Last Update"

The "Trending Posts" module is a "Search" module with its name set to "Trending Posts" with the sort order set to "Trending".

The "Latest Blogs" module is a "Search" module with its name set to "Latest Blogs" and the search restricted to Blog channels.

              See the trend?

                  In the Search Module:

Change Sort By to Date Last Update

                  Change Order to Descending

Make sure you choose the forum(s) and content types otherwise you may get content you don't want in the results.
