Channels take their path from their parents. Did you change the name of any of the "Super Channels" defined in the Channel Manager within the AdminCP? They should be "Home Page", Forums, Blogs, Groups, and Articles.

You can change the URL of any page/channel in your vBulletin System by navigating to the page/channel you want to change and clicking "Edit Page" in the Site Builder Menu. When you save the page, you can change the URL.

Really can't tell what is going on with obscured links. What is the actual link to your site?

        1. Go to /ads.
        2. Click "Edit Page" at the top of the page.
        3. Click "Save Page" at the top of the page.
        4. Change the URL from ads to forum.
        5. Continue saving.

Can't fix this issue in the AdminCP. You would need to purchase ticket support and provide direct access to the database.
