    How to modify the Forum Name?

    Hi,

    It does not work in AdminCP. How to change the Forum Name 'Forums' in the uploaded attachment?

    That is actually the name of the Page. You can change the name when saving it in Site Builder.
    1. Turn on Site Builder by toggling the Edit Site button next to your username.
    2. Click Edit Page.
    3. Click Save Page.
    4. Change the Page Name.
    5. Finish saving the page.

      While this process does update the Page Name, and the Page Title is updated in browsers, I'm still having problems with "Forums" showing up.

      For instance, you can see that Google shows me "Forums" in lct_edit_408_ItSaysForums.jpg

      Taking a look at view-source, I can see "Forums" a few times, starting with:
      Code:
      <meta property="og:site_name" content="Forums" />
      and

      Code:
      <title>

      Crypto thats Trending.... Artists, Celebrities, Influencers and More! -

      Forums
      </title>
      Wayne Luke can you pls provide further instructions? Thx

        Site Name is not the same as a Forum name.

        You can update your site name in the AdminCP under Settings → Options → Site Name / Contact Details.

          Indeed.

          Personally, I removed the word. I think it is not really necessary at the root of the forum. It can also be a distraction ('clutter') in some styles including my style.

            We have made vBulletin infinitely customizable so people can do what they want with it.

                vB 5.6.6
                PHP 8.0.14
                FireFox 96.0.3

                I am trying to reverse this procedure.

                I tried on a test forum. I can no longer leave a white space as the page name. The popup tells me to enter a page name and can't save without a page name.

                Is this normal in 5.6.6?

                  Pages always need a name. Remove the Page Title module if you decided you don't want to show it anymore.

                    How do you edit a page name that has an accented character?

                    I updated the DB to use InnoDB now with the scripts provided with vBulleting 5, and I also updated the character encoding/collation to utf8mb4. I thought everything was good, but when I went to check one of the channels it no longer resolves. The channel name is Club Classé and the URL now has this: /club-class? instead of /club-classé

                      Make sure your language is using UTF-8 under Languages & Phrases → Language Manager. Edit your language to change its settings.

                        I did set the language to UTF-8 following this link from the support forum. That link was fantastic by the way to get the DB tables and encodings updated! The only difference from those steps is that I used the utf8mb4_unicode_520_ci collation.

                          If you still can't access the page, you can go to Settings → Options → Site URLs and Routing. Change the system to route by Nodeid. You will get to access the channel and can change the name.

                            Thank you! That did the trick to update the name and then I switched back the routing to use the name instead of node id. That is a great little trick I need to remember!
