to "see more" you must be registered

    Dear staff,

is it possible to restrict full access to articles or blogs or maybe posts to registered members ?

    for example:

guest users can view the previews of articles, blog entries and posts (preview text + preview image),
but when they click on "see more" or "go to post", they get message something like : you must be registered to have full access to the articles..

    thank you for help

They get that message by default unless you have changed the settings. You can change the amount of characters in the preview text in the admincp or in the articles themselves.

If you want guests to view a preview of an article but not the full article then do this...

        1) Set the Guest permission so they can't view content in the Article channels.
        2) When you create a new article under Advanced Options, make sure "Public Preview" is set to Yes.

Guests will see the preview but be told they don't have permission when they click to see the entire article.

Blogs are more difficult because they don't have the Public Preview bit. However, there is a modification at https://vbmods.rocks that will blur content for guests until they register.

after simple adjustments to have the exact new previews, to have the adequate message to be displayed to "guest users"

and we get the wanted result
