vB-5.5.x: AdminCP: how to a list 1:1 relations?

Hi,

for an Addon, I need to configure 1:1 relations and I wonder, how to do that.

The scenario: I want forward messages using Slack. For that to work, I need some kind of lookup table using the nodeid and Slack's channel id, leading to those 1:1 relations.

I would like to configure that using AdminCP, but I don't know how to do that. Right now, all settings made end up in the options array, available using
vB::getDatastore()->getValue('options');

But that does not allow me to lookup the channel or node id, using the respective other one.
So I have setup a lookup table, which I administer using SQL statements right now.
The idea is to provide a configuration screen within AdminCP, which reads all available rows from that table, allows add/edit/delete entries and save it to that table. If it can display entries only and the user than has to enter another configuration screen to add/edit/delete a specific entry (equivalent to the AdminCP's cron settings), it would be fine with me aswell.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

You would have to build your own screens in the AdminCP along with their PHP to control them.

All I can say is look at the existing AdminCP files in /core/admincp as well as /core/includes/adminfunctions* files.

Just a couple questions:
1. do I need to copy my AdminCP-files to those directories? Or can they reside in some other folder, e.g. the one of my Addon?
2. Do I need to register my AdminCP-files? Or do they get called using some kind of mechanism such as the hook (which actually does its job, thanks for that)?
3. How about languages? Can I use the internationalization provided by vBulletin or do I need setup my own one (or just go with English and be happy)?

Sorry, I cannot find any documentation on that and the examples provided / Addons available do not provide their own AdminCP-page.

Most people don't create their own pages. They just create a new option group and add their options.

To create a product for vBulletin you need to:

1) Put your site into Debug Mode (https://www.vbulletin.com/go/vb5debug)
2) Go to Hooks & Products -> Add New Product.
3) Fill out the form so your product is unique.
4) While in debug mode you can create Options under Settings -> Options, Phrases under Languages & Phrases, Templates under Styles -> Style Manager -> Master Style, and so forth. Each of these need to be assigned to your product.
5) When you're done creating all of this, you can go to Hooks & Products -> Product Manager and export your product. Everything you created above will be written to an XML file and added to the user's system when imported through the same product manager.

If you do need your own page and PHP processing in the AdminCP, then the file the user accesses needs to be in the /core/admincp directory. Or at least a stub. You can link it in the left navigation using a cpnav_productname.xml file in the /core/includes/xml directory. This is pretty much the same as vBulletin 4 at this point.

There are addons you can download at www.vbulletin.org that can be used as examples.
