social groups, new members could not see posts

I have a social group that is private and only members can see it. It worked fine and I have not upgraded vBulletin or made any other changes since it worked. Suddenly an invited user could not see any posts in the group except for one "sticky" post. It happened to all new invites. The solution I did to fix it was to make the group visible to all and then hide it again and now it is working fine again.

Sounds like a permission cache was out of sync. Without access to a copy of the database with the issue, I can't say for sure though. No known steps to recreate? Does it happen every so many days? Every so many invites? Etc....

Thanks. No I was stupid enough not to copy the database before I started to fix it. And now it works again. This is the first time it happened to me and I will make sure to copy the database if it happens again.
