    Flag reports go to all members

    I have an issue on my VB hosted site www.baylinerownersclub.org where flag reports are showing up in the notificastions box forf all users.
    How do I send these to mod and admin only.

    I have another issue on my other VB hosted site www.liveaboard-boats.com where any time someone replies to a thread you statrted it shows up in the notifications section. How do I turn this feature off by default for new registrations?

    Thanks!

    Make sure that users that shouldn't see the Flag Reports do not have the Can Manage Topics permission. Registered users probably shouldn't have any of the permissions under the heading Moderator Permissions.

    Registration defaults can be found under Settings -> Options User Registration Options.

      Thanks, but...None of those are set.

      What else should I try?

        Usergroups -> Usergroup Manager.

        Make sure that Can Moderate All Forums (is Super Moderator) is set to No.

          They are all set to no.

          I have isolated this challenge to the three usergroups I created. It is not in the “registered users” group.

          I cannot find any setting on those usergroups that would do this.

          Can you go in and take a look??? It is a VB hosted site www.baylinerownersclub.org

          Thanks!!!

            There is no setting on usergroups that would do this. It is a personal setting.

            The only other way is if you're setting every group to be a Super Moderator Group and then under Channel Management -> Moderator Permissions, every user has been set to receive an email on every post/topic. You should limit the number of moderators / super moderators you have on your site for security purposes.

              I can't see anything in your settings that would cause the behavior that your subscribing. Which users are having the problem?

                I have a test user that you can try it out on.

                regusertest, but it is happening to all users in any of the customized usergroups.

                Can you try it out? Possibly this is a bug??

                Thanks!

                  I am having this exact same problem. My registered users are getting notified whenever a post is flagged. All moderator permissions are set to no. This is the post that was the latest example:

                  The user was banned for posting sales related content, and when the post was flagged as "spam" a large number of people got notified.

                  Here are the screenshots showing all the permissions match what was mentioned above. What else can we try?

                    What are their channel permissions?

                    Usergroups -> Channel Permissions.

                    Channel Permissions will override anything in the Usergroup Manager. Usergroup Manager is kind of a default but Channel Permissions is actually where most Admins set permissions.

                      Permissions screen shot attached. All channels inherit these same permissions:

                        I am also still having the same problem. I just figured it was a unfixable.

                          I can recreate the issue on a test development. At this time I am thinking it is a regression but I have to test on older versions to be sure. Once that is done, I can create a bug report.
