Even if you disabled the Advanced Editor, users can still use the BBCode tags manually to format their posts like you would using Advanced Editor.

Why do you want to do this? Is there any advanced editor toolbar buttons that you don't want users to use?

Glenn You are right if disabled the Advanced Editor they still can use BBcode .

too many spammers on my site and advertising thier links on my site. so thats why i want to disable it.

so i can block the link becuse when they use bbcode for add links then links cant be blocked by Censorship words

please is there any way to disable fully toogle with bbcode.

Links will auto-parse, I suspect that's the issue you're running into there.

Disabling the advanced editor will not achieve what you want.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but is this still not possible with a cloud instance?

I want to toggle it off for everyone by default, at least in the quick reply pane it's just way too much clutter on a page that already has too many buttons/icons/chicklets on ti as it is.

There is no such thing as a quick reply in vBulletin 5. There is just the editor at the bottom of the page. You do not go to another page for a full editor like in vBulletin 3 and 4.

The editor menu, attachments panel, and smilies panel are all off by default for every user. However, each user profile will also remember the state of these features from their last use. If the user leaves them open, they will be open the next time they are displayed. If they close them, they will be closed the next time. They are controlled by the three buttons in the top right corner of the editor. There are not settings on whether these are expanded or closed outside of those buttons.

There is no "advanced" vs. "simple" editor in vBulletin 5. There is no way to disable these different parts at this time. However, in the next version, the Smilies Panel will be invisible if you do not have any Smilies defined.
