    More forums..

    Hello,

Would anyone please help me find out a way if I can use an additional forum by adding a new navigation in the header?
I would like to make one forum for free and the other forum as paid subscription.
    Is it possible?

    Please advise me.

    Thank you

You can add channels (forums) within the same site as links in the navbar yes. You can also set those links to only appear to the usergroups that have access to them.

      Hi Mark,
      Thank you for the answer.
But I would like to know if I can make another forum with different child channels by adding new navigation in the header because I would like to totally separate sub channels by the section.

      Is it possible?

You can link to categories instead of forums.

However, I do need to stress that this cannot be used to present a completely separate site, unless there are two licenses. If it's to be effectively two sites, it needs two licenses.

You can create your Navigations Tabs with links like this:

          /Free-for-all-Forum (main navigation)
          /Free-for-all-Forum/Sub-forum1 (sub-navigation)
          /Free-for-all-Forum/Sub-forum2 (sub-navigation)
          /Free-for-all-Forum/Sub-forum3 (sub-navigation)

          /Paid-Forum (main navigation)
          /Paid-Forum/Sub-Forum1 (sub-navigation)
          /Paid-Forum/Sub-Forum2 (sub-navigation)
          /Paid-Forum/Sub-Forum3 (sub-navigation)

Then when you are in a sub-forum of "Free-For-All-Forum" it should highlight the proper tab. Same for when you're in a sub-forum of "Paid-Forum".

Note: You will still need to create the channels within Site Builder's Channel Manager or within the AdminCP Channel Manager.

If it is one installation with a shared user base, then yes. We allow for paid subscriptions to give paying users more access to the site.
