    New user email contains code, not data

    Good morning. When a new user registers at my newly-upgraded 5.4.1 site, the email notification I receive about their registration does not contain the actual data. Instead it just contains code. See screenshot of the email below:

    This is a side effect of preserving language edits when upgrading. The variable system used in vBulletin 5 has changed to a token system. This allows a more secure language system to be used. So vBulletin 5 has no idea what variables like $vboptions[bburl] are meant to be. They will be treated as text.

    You should go through all of your Email Body Phrases and remove anything in the translation boxes for English and save them. You can reach the Phrases in the AdminCP under Languages & Phrases -> Phrase Manager. You can choose the Email Body group at the top of the page.
