Is there a way to create a webhook?

Here's the goal: When someone registers as a user, I'd like to push the User Name, Account Number (custom field), and email to an external database.

But truth is, I don't know a lot about webhooks. I don't know if webhook refers to the push part or the receiving part.

So- I guess I need to know if vbulletin 5 has a way to

1. create a JSON file when a User registers with specific info
2. send that to a URL expecting to receive it

vBulletin's classes and APIs can be extended through standard PHP. So if you have the downloaded version you can do this. There are basic extensions and documentation in the do_not_upload/development folder. Along with an extension example and code to register all the PHP Hooks available in the software.

It isn't possible on Cloud since all cloud sites share the same site of files.

Thank you - that gives me another piece of missing information: I'm going to have to ask one of our developers to upload something to the server. But I have a direction!
