    Editing phrases/email notifications

I would like to make the following changes to how my board operates (I am using 5.4.1):

    1. When a person is subscribed to a forum or topic and receives email notifications, I want the topic title to appear in the subject matter of the email notification; and
    2. When a person is subscribed to a forum or topic and receives an email notification of a new topic or a new post in a topic, I want the full text of that new topic or new post to appear in the body of the email notification without truncation.

I believe that I need to edit the source files, which I am willing to do. However, I need someone to give me a push in the right direction because there are many files and I haven't been able to figure out which one(s) controls these variables.

    Thanks.

Modifying the source code is not covered by technical support. Also as a cloud customer, you do not have access to the source code. You would need to be a customer with a download license to edit the source code. You can make suggestions in our issue tracker by clicking the Tracker link in the header navigation of this site.

I am also a Connect license holder. I have both a Cloud license and a Connect license.

I am not really asking you to tell me what code to edit and how, just give me a jump start. Can you do that?

The support team aren't coders and thus cannot really guide you on code modifications.

You would be best off asking on a site such as https://vbmods.rocks or https://www.vbulletin.org. The first of those also takes on custom work which might be the way to go.
