Guest can't comment

I daresay it's been mentioned somewhere else and I apologise for repeating a routine query....

BUT, I've enabled in channel permissions and usergroups settings for guests to be able to comment, under moderation, with replies to articles/forums/etc. However, whilst a reply box appears (with no obvious moderation tools in sight), submitting a test reply results in an error box appearing, stating "You are not authorised to create this post".

Have I missed something?

They will need "Can Create Text" permission and probably "Can Reply to Other's Topics" permissions. A comment is just a second level of replies with a limited interface.

Cheers, I wasn't sure whether you meant to set yes in channel permissions or usergroup permissions - so I did both, and that works at least

Usergroup Permissions only exist to provide a default for any permissions also in Channel Permissions.

Super - I've got guests disabled for uploading attachments- but somehow, the interface still appears
