Bad encoding for categories after the migration from 4.x to 5.x

    Hi

After the migration of our forum to v5.x, the encoding for categories is incorrect and I didn't find where in the admin I should go to solve that issue.

We're French speaking and thus use accentuated characters. "Main questions" is "Questions générales" (see my screen capture).

As you can see, accentuated characters are well supported for the post's title and not for categories so I presume I should "reset" something like rebuilt aliases but I didn't find where.

    Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately, we have to convert UTF-8 characters to their HTML Entities for use in a URL. The RFC doesn't allow UTF-8 characters in URLs. It is up to the browser to decide how to render these entities. You can edit the URL of these channels in Site Builder. Go to the channel on the User Front-End and click "Edit Page" in the Site Builder Menu. Save the page and you can update the URL to fit your needs.

      Hi

My apologies, I didn't understand / find where.

So, from the user side, I've opened a post. The URL encoding is correct for the "blue" side (see my screen capture) which is the alias of the post title. The URL encoding is bad for the "yellow" side which is the alias of the category (and we've a lot of such categories)

In the admin side (https://xxx/admincp/?loc=admincp/forum.php), for that channel, I didn't find any area to update the alias.
In the front side, I click on the Edit site button (site builder) and then Channels and see nowhere where I can edit the alias, can you guide me please ?

You cannot change URLs in the AdminCP. That was never stated. You can only change URLs using the Site Builder menu which is shown at the top of your screenshot. If you go forum that is the parent of the topic in your screenshot and click "Edit Page" you can change the URL of that forum when you save the page.

          Thanks, got it.

In fact we need to click on Edit page and ... just click on Save the page and it's not intuitive sorry. We need to save the page prior to be able to see the URL field and edit it.

Found and I confirm, it works.
