One FORUM word in URL is just enough

Do you have the vBulletin files located in a folder named "forum" on your server? If so the way to fix the URL is to install the vBulletin files in the forum root rather than in a folder. Alternatively you could manually edit every URL. How much free time do you have?

I have Wordpress installation in root folder, how should I upgrade my old VB to 5.4 without conflict with other script (WP)?
I think - installation in root dir is not good idea, because I lost other URL like: mydomain.com/forum/memberlist or just memberprofile (http://www.mydomain/forum/member/123-membernick)

VB staff should give us a possibilities URL to forum category/topic list/posts more friendly.

How can I disable double forum/forum from URL to post on my forum, it is like a mistake in url.

If you don't want to have the double forum you could use a subdomain like forum.yourdomain and link it to your forum folder... You have a Blog, a CMS, Groups and a forum in vBulletin5 so the forum have to be in the domain after your domain. If you have a folder forum and link your main-domain to your forums folder, vBulletin could not chang anything on that.

You can edit each channel page in Site Builder and remove the /forum from their URLs. All topics within the channel will inherit the new URL.

Visit the channel (forum) on the user side.
Click Edit Page at the top.
Click Save Page.
Edit the URL to meet your needs.
Finish saving the page.
Repeat for each forum you want to update.

I'd like to add variable replacement in Styles > Replacement Variable Manager in AdminCP.

Search for Text: href="http://mydomain.com/forum/forum/
Replace with Text: href="http://mydomain.com/forum/

Do you know any httacces mod_rewrite rules to rewrite url from forum/forum/*.* to forum/*.* ??

If you follow my method, the system will automatically create 301 rewrites from the old to the new. You won't need replacement variables or additional .htaccess rules for it to work.

So I did this to like 18 forums, and finally, I apparently did something wrong with the most important one and now I'm getting this returned when I try to enter the forum:

Now I'm locked out of that forum in the GUI. Wow... how do you correct THAT? I sent through a help request. This is holding up my launch from 4 to 5.

You can delete incorrect redirects by uploading tools.php and running scan content tables tool. https://forum.vbulletin.com/articles...sing-tools-php

Each name change should involve one redirect. From the old name to the new name. If you change one channel multiple times, then you can encounter this.
