    Why? Is it causing harm? The visitor message system is not a status update. Most people don't use it to send themselves messages.

      I thought it's a wall where users can write their status.

      if you want you can delete the above phrase when the user types something on his wall (currently visitor messages).

        Visitor Messages are designed to go user to user....though they are public and visible by anyone.

        Status is something different....that is under the 'About' tab in the profile.

          where is the problem if we take the function (visitor message) as a wall where the user can add messages, photos and videos? with a simple modification of the phrases

            You have full access to modify the phrases to fit your needs. This doesn't require us to make a change in the overall software. There are three phrases that you're looking for:

            x_posted_visitormessage_for_y
            x_posted_visitormessage_for_y_2
            guest_posted_visitormessage_for_y_2
