[Bug / Issue] Can't save the navbar

Hi,

I'm having anissue with the navbar. When I click on Edit Site > Navbar and move an item from the Sub Navigation Bar to the Main one, or change anything the save button doesn't work. So I'm stuck with the default items of the navbar. I don't have any error message.

What could be the reason of that?

FYI: with the Site Builder I was able to edit the Footer.

Make sure your UserID is added to the core/includes/config.php file here:

$config['SpecialUsers']['superadmins'] = '1';

Then make sure you've given yourself all Administrator permissions under AdminCP / Usergroups / Administrator Permissions

Thanks "In Omnibus" for the admin access, now I'm superadmin!

I did the "Clear System Cache", clear my browser cache and the issue is still there, I can' t save the navbar. I tried in Firefox and Chrome.

Run these queries on the database:

DELETE FROM cache
DELETE FROM cacheevent

Then try again.

The query has been run in the DB but it's the same issue unfortunately.

Using the developer tools (usually F12 on Windows/Linux machines) in your browser, what is the javascript error that is being thrown when you edit the navigation bar? You can usually see this on the console tab.

If you go into the AdminCP and change Use Remote jQuery to None does the issue continue?

You can change this under Settings -> Options -> Server Settings and Optimization Options.

Unfortunately disabling the jquery didn't solve the problem.

This is happening in a default style provided by us without any addon's, advertising, or other custom javascript on the page?

That's a good question!
I changed the theme to the vBulletin default one and it's still the same. On the forum I only installed the vBulletin Metro theme by Pixelgoose.

We would need direct access to the site to try and determine what the issue is. This would require a support contract. Something is causing a javascript error and that is breaking the site for you.

Without a support contract, all I can say is debug the javascript on the site and see if you can find where the exact error is being triggered and preventing the proper loading of jQuery. The system relies on the jQuery library to function.
