    "New Threads"-Module Issue

I have an Issue regarding the "new threads" module in the sidebar.
I set the shown threads to a count of 5 new topics. For Admin Users, this works (attachment, right side). But normal users can see only two new topics (attachment left side).
The users should see all threads, since the other threads are no threads in restricted areas and so on... I have this issue since a long time.

What can I do against this problem?

Even worst, sometimes the module shows no topics and only the red message "invalid node-id":
    Ungültige Knoten-ID angegeben.

It seems that this problem occurs im a sporadic manner. When I edit the module, change nothing and just save it, sometimes it works again, sometimes it doesnt.

The problem seems to occur when i add/change any channels via the channel manager.

It would be good to know your setup of the widget and some usergroup permissions to solve your problem. Because the admin could see all of the content I think it is a permission-problem.
Did you check if users could see the channels?

If the users don't have 5 new topics to view (i.e., all new topics are in a private forum) then it will show less.

The topics which users can not see, are topics, which users can see if they go the normal way. So it is not a problem of permissions.
Some "normal" users can see 5 items, some others can see only 2 users.

Mostly I can temporary fix the problem by editing the module (not changing anyhting) and saving it. I also clear the cache sometimes.

I don't know what would cause that. We would need a copy of the database and step by step process to reproduce so the developers can look at the issue.

You would need to create a support ticket with access to download the mysql dump.
