We have a vBulletin Forum v5.3.4 with many different channels over a wide range of topics. Each channel has its own staff. We tried making a private staff section in each channel that staff on other channels could not see. It turned into a multi user group, channel permission beast.
So, we are trying by invitation only social groups. Moderators for each channel are members of a custom user group just their channel. We don't want moderators of one channel to see the groups of the other channels. Even though each moderator group its own social group by invitation only. Moderators can see all groups even though they can't post in social groups other than the ones they joined.
The problem seems to be in the can always post and can always start topics. If those are set to no, then they can't see any groups, even their own. Is there a way to accomplish this goal in some other way?
