Show whole content of announcements

Hey, how can I change announcements in a way, so that it shows directly the whole content of it?
Right now, i need to click the "show more" link to see the whole content. But I want that every users sees automatically the whole text I wrote.

Couldn't find any option to change that so far. Any help appreciatet.

Actually there is another question I have: is it possible to create the announcement just for categories but not for the threads in the categories?
It works nice for the "notices", but announcements do not have any certain options who can see it and so on.

There is no supported way to do what you want to do. Custom Code may be able to add this functionality.

The workaround is to use Notices. Announcement functionality hasn't been improved since Notices were added. For some reason, unknown to me, the two features were not combined like they should have been. The features of Notices are superior in most instances and have the capabilities to be targeted better.
