Private forum still accessible to guests

    Hi,

I created a channel and clicked "deny all" in the channel permissions manager.
Then i only modified one group to set it to inherit access rights.

It seems to be working for all groups, except unregisterd users who can still access the channel, although if i click on view permissions for my unregisterd users, it clearly says everything is set to "no".

I don't know how to make it really private.

    Save the permissions again.

Guests can't see any content in the forum as far as I can tell but a bit may be out of line in one of the caches. Saving the permissions again should update all the caches. At least the ones that vBulletin maintains. If you use something like Cloudflare, then there is no telling when it would get updated.

Now i tried a different approach because i recall this one to be a known bug.

I let all groups inherit, except for registered, non registered, and other groups where i set all to no.
It seems to be working... except for non registerd users !

But it is better, they still can see the topics (even deleted ones...) but can't access the posts, when you clic on a topic title, you get redirected to the forum home.

I was unable to duplicate this issue. Is this a parent channel or a child channel? If it is a child what are the unregistered usergroup permissions of the parent channel?

By "access" do you mean they can still view the channel? Or do you mean they can still view the channel, the content, post, reply, etc.?

Put it in its own category with a parent that denies access.
