    Post Count Error

The entire forums has 2,056 posts. One member's post count is 3,383. That is the only member whose post count is incorrect. Clearing the system cache and updating post counts does nothing. How can this be fixed? Can I edit the database without breaking something?

It isn't really counting posts, it is counting nodes.

Has the member posted a lot of gallery photos? Each gallery photo is a node.
Have they uploaded a lot of attachments? Each attachment is a node.
Has the member created a lot of channel nodes? Each channel node is a node.

If that is the case, then it's incorrectly implemented.

I don't argue against that. It has been this way since the original release.

The site in question is entirely image-based and the member has created a large number of images.
But seeing as how post count is a primary factor in promotions this is a problem.

I am sorry. I don't have a fix at this time. I noticed that you've already voted and commented on the JIRA.
