The errors shown are unrelated to the issue at hand. queueprocessor.php is not a script in vBulletin 5. It needs to be disabled.

ok, how can i disable it ?

I still have no idea of what is going on. I can give a couple of accounts and an admin access on my test site if you want to check stuffs on you own...

To disable the scheduled task, you would go to the AdminCP. Scroll down to Scheduled Tasks and enter the Scheduled Tasks manager. Uncheck the box next to queueprocessor.php and save the page.

There really isn't anything to check that is easy to see since there is no error being thrown and it can't be replicated. I don't know. We would probably need a copy of the database and every server setting for PHP and MySQL to try and replicate the issue. We might need access to the server. Unfortunately, I don't see it getting a high priority as others don't have the problem. However, you're welcome to create a JIRA on the issue and provide that information.

Is there any way you could just give it look and see if you can find something i did not see ?

Would you know how the notification "lastreadtime is updated" ?
I guess there is a function called on each page load, and my best guess would be it uses the lookupid_hashed field to match the page the page load with an eventual notification.

If i am right, this couls mean 2 things :
                - the function is not called on page load.
                - the hash is not properly calculated.

It would be nice to know more about the function and the hash .

Ok, i set the global logging on on my mysql DB and run my test scenario; i did not see any insert or update statement on the notification table when browsing the topic on which i had a notification active.

This would mean the update function isn't called. Any idea where this would be ?

Are you visiting the last page of the topic?

I can't recreate the issue on any of my installs or this site. We would need to see an error message or something. Looking at the database log may not be the best way to track this. You should be tracking requests to your server via the web server log. Your server may be blocking it through various security software.

I registered on your site but when I try to subscribe to a forum in order to get some notifications, I get an error that I am not authorized. You need to put my user in a group that has the "Can Join Channel" permission.

If you've turned this off for usergroups, it will interfere with notifications.

You gave me hope, i changed the settings for all groups but the issue is still here.
Is there another setting that might interfere ?

Hi Wayne Luke , did you have time to take a look ?

I solved the main issues i hd after my update (the DB was messed up and the custom navbar srewed up the forum CSS) but the notifications still does not disappear automatically as they should...

Dou you now in which template the function is supposed to be called ?

                                I can recreate the issue. The template that shows the notifications is privatemessage_notificationcontent. They are loaded on page load via an API call - {vb:data messages, notification, fetchNotificationsForCurrentUser, {vb:raw params}}
