[Bug / Issue] Can not remove topic redirects

Today I notified from a user of my forum that topic redirects did not disappear from the "NEW TOPICS" page.
Located at the forums navigation:

• New Topics
• Today's Topics
• Trending Topics
• Who's Online
• Member List
• Calendar
• Mark Channels Read

When all new topics have been read. All the topics with permanent redirects just stay on this page.
There is not option to remove these redirects? I was possible in the past to change permanent redirects to temporary redirects.

How can I remove these Redirects of topics?

If you are using vBulletin 5.3.3, then you can remove redirects in the AdminCP under Node Tools. If you're not using 5.3.3, you have to visit each topic and remove the redirects using the tools on the gear menu on that page.

I am using vBulletin 5.3.3

So when using the prune option via AdminCP. Will the topics be instantly deleted after clicking the prune button? Or will I be able to make a selection of these topics / redirects to delete. I don't want to delete the wrong topics

It was better before when I was able to change the permanent redirect to a temporary redirect I.M.O.
Moderators of my forum always forget to uncheck the redirect box or change it from Leave Permanent Redirect to Temporary redirect.

Wouldn't it be better to change the default Redirect checkbox to be off?
Or set to Temporary by default?

I wonder what your the VB staff thoughts about this is? I might go to JIRA and request this improvement, unless you can convince me of a good reason why the redirect checkbox is enabled by default.

After you fill out your options, you can choose to blindly delete all selected topics or delete selectively. It basically works the same way as in vBulletin 4.X.

I made a improvement request in JIRA so that the checkbox "Redirect" is not selected by default.
