Custom Usergroup Permission Bitfield sanitized away in fetchUserGroupById

Hello,

I have been trying to track down this for awhile. I have a set of custom usergroup permissions that I am using, however when I save them and attempt to view them again in the admincp, they appear to be sanitized away in the fetchUserGroupById call to the vB_API_UserGroup class.

Is this a bug, should it be calling vB_Library_UserGroup instead of vB_API_UserGroup? Am I missing sometihng else?

in ./core/admincp/usergroup.php, if I switch from:

$usergroup = vB_Api::instanceInternal('usergroup')->fetchUsergroupByID($usergroupid);

to

$usergroup = vB_Library::instance('usergroup')->fetchUsergroupByID($usergroupid);

It appears to fix the permissions display for any custom permissions.

Should I open a JIRA for this?

Sounds like a bug since custom code should go through the API and the API calls the Library.
