  • [Bug / Issue] Error with vB5 install

So, I'm doing a clean install of vB5, and after uploading all files (none tampered with, just decompressed and uploaded straight to the server), and I'm receiving this error right off the bat when directing my browser to the install file.

[an error occurred while processing this directive]

I'm not sure what to do at this point as I have never had this issue before.

This is usually a problem with file permissions make sure your files have CHMOD 644

After I made sure all files had the right permissions... I am now getting this error.
        403 Permission Denied

You do not have permission for this request /uvk/core/install/install.php

You need to speak to your hosts really...this is a server permissions error, not a vBulletin error. We're limited in the support we can provide as we don't manage your server.
