Upgraded from vb3 to vb5. Subforum search not working

Hi I made an upgrade from v3 to v5.3.0 and while the general search works (I reindexed the site), the subforum search does not.

I also also performance a huge drop in site performance.

Do you have any suggestions to solving these two problems?

Please upgrade to vBulletin 5.3.1. It has some changes in permission checking that will improve performance.

Your site is a decent size. What caching mechanism are you using? I recommend Memcached. You will also get better search performance if you use Sphinx. The instructions are in the do_not_upload folder.
