How do I change my admin password?

So I forgot my admin password.

I am able to login only because my browser saved the password.

I went to "forgot password" to get an email, but I am not getting any emails to the email address on file.

What can I do to change my admin password?

Upload the tools.php file from the "Do Not Upload" folder.

Enter your Customer Number and follow the steps for changing the administrator password.

Be sure to delete the tools.php file when you are finished.

You can also see the saved password in the browser. In Chrome there is Manage passwords in the settings.

The tools.php file doesn't allow you to change passwords. All it can do is elevate a user to Administrator or restore Administrator access.

To use tools.php to reset your password, create a new user. Elevate that user to Administrator and then use that user to log in and change the password.
