    New Post Button - Extending Time Frame for Infrequent Visitors?

    Is there any way to extend the amount of time that the New Post button lists posts for? That is, I have some regular, but infrequent visitors to my site, and they complain that when they come on and hit the New Post button, they only get recent new posts, not all new posts from the time they were off the board. Is there any way to extend the time frame that new posts come up for them?

    Not really...it will only go back so far for performance reasons. It's not really engineered to cover long absences from the site.

      I use this string:
      Code:
      search?searchJSON={%22date%22:{%22from%22:%22lastMonth%22},%22view%22:%22topic%22,%22sort%22:{%22lastcontent%22:%22desc%22},%22exclude%22:[38],%22exclude_type%22:[%22vBForum_PrivateMessage%22,%22vBForum_VisitorMessage%22,%22vBForum_Report%22,%22vBForum_Redirect%22]}
      It gives me the last 30 days.

          Edit the navigation bar and change the string for New Topics to that one.

            Wow. I have no clue how to do that. I will poke around some.

                  Hi Wayne.
                  We've been using this for the past few days, but for some reason it is not catching all of the new posts. Some threads get multiple new posts, but sit in the queue days back. Is there anything else we need to do to get this working properly?

                    There are some open bug issues where search results appear out of place. I believe that is what you're experiencing. There is nothing that support can give you that fixes this issue.

                      Thanks Wayne.
                      Is this something that is being worked on?

                        The issues are recorded and will be worked on when they have risen to a priority to do so.
