Error moving topics (but they moving too...)

    Hi everyone.
We randomly receive this notice when moving topics across the boards:

Name:	Moving error.png
Views:	70
Size:	38.9 KB
ID:	4363296
    ("Sposta discussioni" = Move threads)

Nevertheless after refreshing the topic results moved.
    No matching error server side.

This isn't a blocking issue, but however I would like to know why that notice is generated, considering that a simple permission problem would prevent the moving.
    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

This just happens sometimes on vB5, on some server setups. There's no particular fix for it at this time.

Checking the server logs might give you a clue.

Can you please tell me more about these server setups that you refer to? So we can try to debug our environment, if possible.
        Thanks.

I've already checked Apache logs, but nothing there when I produce the error.

No...it has never been isolated, and support are not involved in that anyhow. It isn't really a bug in your environment, it's a bug in vBulletin, that just only affects certain server environments.
It has been intermittently faulty on some set ups for quite some time. It is seen as a low priority because (a) the operation is not public-facing and (b) the operation still actually works.
Rightly or wrongly, there are bigger priorities.

Happens on this site as well but not with every user who tries to debug it or every time and individual moves topics. That makes it difficult to track down.
