Using code in forum description?

Hi everyone.
We need to add embedded links, word wrap and list in our forum description. BBcode doesn't works, and so even when I've tried with some HTML code (but I'm not so experienced in this).
Is it any way to do what we need?

Make sure BBCode is enabled for the forum if it isn't already. You can check this in the channel manager.

BBcode in Channel Manager is enabled, but it's for posts... don't know if that setting works even for forum description.

Sorry, I see what you mean. No, I don't think it works for that. If it did work, then it would display BBCode in the forum description which search engines would see too!? I don't think that would be good.

HTML code should work in the forum description but take note that the space for the forum description on homepage is limited to the first column only.

I'm afraid I do not understand, this means we cannot word-wrap in forum descriptions, and so they works only on a single line of text?

It can word wrap but the content will only be within that cell where the description is.

When I submit text with those codes after saving I get something like this instead in the Forum Description form: &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;

Probably I'm missing some step, as I've told I'm not familiar with codes :|

Where are you entering the code? HTML should work in the Description Field of your Channels when edited in the Channel Manager within the AdminCP.

In Channel Manager I select the channel where I need to put links and insert text with codes in the Description space.

I tried in 5.2.5 and even in older version 5.2.3 and adding HTML to the forum description works.

Here is HTML I've tried:

For url links

For word wrap

Even BBCode gone bad.

Just did another attempt with the same code used here to link vBulletin.org in the PHP & HTML Questions board's description, but no different results: after saving description's content appears as described here.
