Notifications from RSS Feed Manager are sent from wrong user id

We have an RSS Feed Manager user id set up (with the user id Newsfeed. Whenever it posts to a forum the notification email that comes from the forum says it's from a different user. Sometimes it's from 'Guest' and sometimes it's from one of the other user IDs.

As far as can see there is no link between the Newsfeed user id and the user id of whatever member the notification says posted the thread/topic.

What's causing the problem and how do you fix it?

I've not used the RSS feed manager so I'm not 100% sure I can help, but I'll try.
Just curious, if you refresh the page, does the user change sometimes too?

In our case what we are seeing is not just notifications coming from "Guest" but email notifications telling us that the RSS Feed has posted but from a completely different named user id. We're on vBulletin 5.2.5.
