Two forums with different user groups and different visibility

In our company community we would like to have 2 different forums. These forums should only be visible to a defined group of users and moderators. Users and moderators of the first forum should not be able to see and to enter the second forum. The same for the second forum, but vice versa: Users and moderators of the second forum should not be able to see and to enter the first forum.

What can be done? Where can I find the settings?

I can sent a screenshot. Since it's an internal forum I wouldn't like to post it on a page that is publicly visible.

That would actually class as two separate forums, and you would need two licenses.

It's not possible to completely hide everything anyway, users canno be hidden.

Let's start at the beginning. What do you mean by "forum" when you say two different forums?

Do you mean two different channels or two entirely different forums?

So assuming company. Id guess Wholesale and Retail. You could set a usergroup called Wholesale, and a Usergroup called Retail. Then have all the Retail forums set with permissions to allow Retail user group, and the Wholesale section allowed to have Wholesale usergroup. Same with moderators only allowed access to wholesale, and only access to retail.
The users will be able to see each other though in the members list. If you don't want users to see each other. Then you need two licenses to have two different forums.

To be clear:

Even if if you only use one vBulletin installation....if you set it up so it works like two forums, then it needs two licenses. You cannot circumvent the license requirements by hiding parts of the board to different sets of users. If it presents itself as two different boards, then it's two licenses.

Thank you for comment. User Necrophyte tells what I want to achieve. I have different target groups, so I want them to post topics only in their area, please see screenshot attached. It's a political thing as well.

I want to avoid a situation where discussion gets confused because people from different target groups are mixing up things.

No circumvention of the license requirements planned.

Just my opinion,
For the cost of a second license, there would be zero effort to setup what you are trying to do. It would also eliminate the possibility of users or moderators seeing something they are not meant to see in the event of an accidental permission configuration error. Sometimes, it just make sense to spend the extra dough.

It would need a second license anyhow, as I've already mentioned. You can't use one license to present what is effectively two separate forums.
