This would be caused by one of two things:

    1) Your image is most likely larger than what is allowed for a PNG image and is being resized. Resized images are always stored as JPEG image.

    2) Your image contains EXIF data that we do not allow and is being rewritten as a JPEG to remove that EXIF data but still allow the image to be used.

JPEG images do not support transparency which would cause the problem you're having. You will need to make sure that EXIF data is stripped out of the PNG file before uploading and that it conforms to the size allowed for PNG images under Attachments -> Attachment Type Manager in your AdminCP. It has to fit within all three requirements (height, width, and file size) to avoid resizing.

You can also work around this issue by uploading the image via FTP and then specifying its location in the titleimage style variable. Style Variables can be accessed in the AdminCP under Styles -> Style Manager. Find your style and choose "Style Variable Editor" off the Choose Action drop down. Typing titleimage in the search filter will quickly show you the variable.

It's the same logo and the same PNG size. Absolutely no changes before and after upgrade to 5.2.5

Before 5.2.5, we didn't check EXIF data. Now we do.

            That could be the problem.

Try opening the image in Paint, and then saving it with no changes, then try uploading it again.

If you add the logo using this method, does it work?

Can you please create a JIRA here: http://tracker.vbulletin.com/secure/...91&issuetype=1

Include your PHP, MySQL, and Image library as well as the screenshots above. Attach the image causing the problems to the JIRA so we can make sure that our systems are working correctly.
