Traffic Drop - a truth or not???

I searched and found a couple of threads, where someone upgraded to vb5 and got drop in traffic.

Firstly I didn't believed the phenomena but now after seeing my own board I tend to believe those.

Before the upgrade I had around about 2-400 visitor almost constantly on page at a given time.

After upgrade this has drastically fallen to only 30+ !!!

OK there was a huge issue in URLs which were changed, the indexed pages at google were fallen to 20K... now today there are about 150K. Bing is likewise.

This drop in traffic has concerned some of my admins and rightly so.

Any other user has seen this behavior???

Were the majority of the missing users on your site search engine bots? Having 50-100 googlebots on your site at a time doesn't really help your traffic.

As time goes by and you update the links coming into your site, are your search indexes increasing?

I think bot activity and trend is same...

Yes search indexes are increasing by the day...
