    Image gallery

    Hi,

    Question number 1.
When I upload an image in the user profile album gallery, the image resizes which is fine but when you click to open in an external window, it is still 'resized', how can I make it so it opens up into a full image? Is there any option or is this fixed?

    Question number 2.
Is there a way to show all the recent uploaded images on the vbulletin homepage like 'media gallery' plugin or something?

    Thanks!

    Hello

Point 1 - This will be controlled by the attachment size options in the admincp - if the image is larger than the maximum it will still be resized to that.
Point 2 - Not by default. I put together a bit of a workaround to provide a 'Gallery', which you can see here: http://www.talknewsuk.com/forum/misc/gallery. Instructions for doing that are here: https://www.adminammo.com/articles/v...to-vbulletin-5. However it's not perfect by any means, and I wouldn't call it a fully fledged Gallery.
You could embed a search module on the homepage to show only Gallery items....I have done that here as a demo: http://www.talknewsuk.com/home

Point 1- Just to confirm that I have auto size in admin cp options as yes. In attachment type manager, I have png maximum file size set to 2000000 and width 1440 and height 900. However whenever I upload my png screenshot it resizes it. So i tried with auto resize off and it says I cant exceed dimension 600 x 600 as my picture is 1024 x 768. So I am confused in what I'm doing wrong. Just to clarify, I want to be able to upload png file without any errors and want it to be the full size image when opened in external link.

Point 2- Thanks, I followed you instructions and worked fine but where do I place that bit of CSS provided on your instruction page?

Point 3- Thanks again, I prefer your slideshow, how did you add that to show images as slideshow? I tried the content slider but don't know what to put in the boxes, seems a little confusing.

      Thanks for your reply!

Point 1 - What do you have as the 'Large' size option under AdminCP > Settings > Options > Message Attachment Options > Attachment Resize Options? It should be set to '0'.

Point 2 - The template css_additional.css. Alternatively, add it though Site Builder > Edit Site > Style > CSS Editor. This does the exact same thing but via the front end.

Point 3 - That's the content slider, yes. You should add it but leave the default options configured as they are, it should pull through image attachments in the first post of any featured threads. To make a thread 'Featured', go into the thread, click the cog in the floating bar, and select 'Feature Thread' from the dropdown.

Point 1- It's set to 0 by default, I haven't changed any settings other than made the png maximum file size from 900000 to 2000000.

Point 2- Didn't know where to add it so placed it at the end of the CSS editor, I assume this is ok? Thank you.

          Point 3- Done, thank you!
