Is there a way to search for template codes to edit them in styles? Looking to edit a current style but the editing compared to MyBB is completely different makes it very hard (I transferred over from MyBB to vB)
vB 5.2.4 -> Search templates?

Templates will not generally contain colour codes. They are stored in the stylevars, as a general rule.MARK.B

To do it in reverse, go to your forum and use an inspector tool such as Firebug and find the css class that is controlling the color you need to change. From that, search in the templates for that class, and it will give you the stylevar used. (Unless it is actually hard coded, but if it was it would have sppeared in your original template search)MARK.B

You can't do it that way round...you search for the stylevar name.

Ah I see. Very different. Will give it a shot shortly. Is there a guide somewhere by any chance? If not, I'm sure I'll eventually figure it out with your assistance. Thanks again for helping me. Quite the noobie with vB as I've been on MyBB for about 5 years. Always loved vB though so I made the change

color: {vb:stylevar header_tab_text_color_active};
Would I just be able to change that from there to the custom code? e.g.
color: #000;
