Email change verification
I hope some suggestions could be made on this?
We are currently experiencing trolling/spamming whereby an account is setup and validated using a legitimate email address. After email verification the user changes the email to a fake address and goes about their nefarious work. Each time we stop this, another account pops up. Setting new users to moderated status dosn't help as we get the required number of acceptable posts and the trouble starts immediately they are moved to unmoderated.
This raises two questions:
1) Can VB5 cloud be made to require re-verification of an email address after it is changed? (even if the user was reverted back to moderated status automatically after changing email)
2) Is there a way that an old email address can be found after the user has changed it?
I suppose that final question is, If we were to self host, would that change the answer to either of the above questions?
