Can't Merge posts

A member posted content but forgot the link.

Moments later he posted the link as a separate reply to his opening thread.

Logged in as Admin, I selected post #1 & #2 then used the moderator menu to 'merge posts'.

All the details are already filled in (title, username, post content) etc. so I clicked "Merge Posts"

System replied "Error: Please Complete All Required Fields (please_complete_required_fields)"

OK, well I went to edit the 2nd post where the youtube file was (the only content in post #2) and then I realised he'd added youtube as the link with no other content. So perhaps that was the issue?

This is most likely the issue. You can't merge different content types at this time. I am unsure if here is a JIRA but will look and add one if necessary.

User's can insert video into a standard text content type using the Video button in the Advanced Editor.
