    removing https problems

    I have used https for awhile now for the forums and my hoster requested that i remove it due to ddos attacks. I have changed the settings for the links in the options, but members are still having problems accessing the site and paypal payments are not auto activating anymore. what do i need to do to clear the https from the site other than the settings in the options?

    I have edited these 3 links and put them all back to http://

    vBulletin URL
    Login URL
    Core URL

    I don't know why but the forums are still stuck on https.

    wow noone responded, well I have removed the https, but paypal payments are still not auto activating. I have used firebug to check the url its sending to paypal and all the links are http again like they should be. I am not sure where to go from here with this problem.

      Paypal requires https.

        yes to send the payment must be https, but i am referring to the callback url, for auto activating a payment subscription.

          What's the your server's response when Paypal sends the IPN notification to the callback URL?

          You can check the Paypal IPN history by following instructions at https://developer.paypal.com/docs/cl...IPNOperations/ and see why the IPN notifications are failing. You also have an option to resend the IPN message.

            after checking the ipn history, I see that the response is empty. I have also tried to paste the callback url into my browser and get nothing to display.

              Check Transaction Log in AdminCP > Paid Subscriptions. If you don't find anything there then enable debug mode and try sending IPN again to see the actual error.

                I have not tested with debug mode yet, but with paymentwall i can send test callbacks,and seems the response is showing with the html tags, not sure how this happened just from switching https to http.

                <html><body><br><br><br><script>window.location="/forums/core/payment_gateway.php?method=paymentwall&uid=1&goodsid=1&slength=30&speriod=month&type=0&ref =98989898989&is_test=1&sign_version=2&amount=10.00&sig=cb99964d29dcc8d5ace382ec859db9ef&jd fwkey=gai0p3";</script><script>var u=2;for(;u==1;u++);</script><br><br><br><center><h3><a href="/forums/core/payment_gateway.php?method=paymentwall&uid=1&goodsid=1&slength=30&speriod=month&type=0&ref =98989898989&is_test=1&sign_version=2&amount=10.00&sig=cb99964d29dcc8d5ace382ec859db9ef&jd fwkey=gai0p3"><p>ҳรปԶת</p></a></h3></center></body></html>

                why would this show with the tags and not display the proper formatting?

                  So you're using Paywall which is not a built-in Payment API that is integrated with vBulletin 5. You should contact them.

                    That's not the point, all of my processors paypal, paymentwall all quit working when i removed the ssl cert, a paypal tech told me today that the server and url are still using base64 encoding, I assume this is from the ssl cert, but im not sure how to remove it or fix it. some users can not even access the website because of this also.
