    CSS Stored as Files

    Hi,

When the website's css is set to store as files, my templates do not change when selected from the bottom left of the website: https://www.christforums.org

Right now I have them set to database and they work fine. Is this a cache issue? If so how do I go about remedying this issue?

    Thanks,
    William

Do you have anything in your /clientscript/vbulletin_css folder?

There was, I had deleted it. So no, there wasn't when I enabled Css store as files. When I enable store css as files, yes, files are created there.

I took a look at your site. I find three different themes and each displays properly for me using the most recent version of Firefox.

        Did you resolve the issue?

No, the issue is not present because I currently have the CSS store in database. When I change it to CSS store in files templates do not switch.

OK. What are the CHMOD permissions for the /clientscript/vbulletin_css folder?

              They are 777 chmod.

Lemme reiterate. Css store as files works correctly with just one template. The issue is that they do not change when making selection with more than one template. It is like the first template is stuck in cache.

The reason I inquired is because the system would not store custom theme css files in the database and therefore those files would not be converted to system files in the specific location in which the system is searching. I'm wondering if you have to manually add those css files to the /clientscript/vbulletin_css folder.

Hopefully someone who has done this will know the answer.

After changing the setting, have you run AdminCP > Maintenance > Clear System Cache?

                    Hi Mark,

Yes I tried that. I have enabled Store Css as files and the problem is now demonstrated by switching template styles: https://www.christforums.org

I also ran the sql query: DELETE FROM datastore WHERE title IN('options','publicoptions' 'miscoptions')

                    No luck at all.
