Rewriting URLs form vB 4 to vB5 - Content IDs are not equal

Now that work on a vB 5 installation is coming along, I'm looking at what it will take for a smooth upgrade.

The biggest issue I see is with old URLs. For all CMS content, the vB4 and vB5 content IDs do not match. Below is an example:

vB4: https://site.net/content/2669
vb5: http://v5.site.net/161924

The old database was imported in an earlier version of vB 5. Is this a known issue?
Any suggestions on handling old URLs if this is the case?

Assuming you are not using a third party URL rewrite tool (such as vBSEO) on your vB4 instance, the old vB4 URLs will automatically redirect to the new.
