Is there a feature which the moderators can view all posts which are not moderated yet?

    Hi,

I wondered it would be really helpful to the moderators (specially for forums with multiple moderators) have a feature in which they could flag that a post was already moderated.
So, as soon as they get online they could also view which posts need to be moderated.

    Does this feature already exist?

    Thanks in advance

I am confused. This has been available since vBulletin 5.0.0. Click on the Messages link in the header of any page and then select "Moderation" in the left navigation of the Message Center. If a post has been approved or deleted, then it won't be on the page. If you want them to leave notes, they can edit the post and do so.

      Hey,
thank you for the feedback! It seems that the feature you describe is only available when the permission "Require Moderation for Posts" is set to "yes".

If no moderation is required for posts to be published, they do not appear in the "Moderation" section of the Message Center. Is there a way to see all new posts in the "Moderation" section, regardless of their permission?

Our users are allowed to post without moderation. Nevertheless, our moderators would need to read all new posts.

thank you very much for you help!

No... that isn't the purpose of that section. You can use a Search Module on a page to show all new posts.

But the problem is, they want to flag once a post has been ''moderated'' so that other moderators will not ''moderate'' that post anymore.

Is there a compelling reason why you don't want to set require moderation permission if you are moderating the posts anyway?

        Hi,

        sorry for the late reply.
So, when we set "Require Moderation for Posts", the posts won't be published right away. This will slow down the forum and it be boring to the users.
Imagine if, for example, our moderators can't use the forum for a day or two...

We want the posts to be published and appear in the "Moderation" section of the Message Center.
(While not moderating the posts, our moderators still need to read all new posts. This is mostly for legal reasons.)

Is there a way to set this?

Something similar to vb.orgs "You have xx unread posts" feature. Would be nice to have a search string for this and would probably be sufficient for that task.

So, anyone knows if it is possible to show the posts yet to be moderated and still publish them?

You can give registered users permission to view unmoderated posts in channel permissions. This completely defeats the purpose of moderating them in the first place. You should probably just turn it off to make things easier all around.

This will require a big code change to implement that.

The entire purpose of moderating posts is to do so before they are published.

if you want to be notified when a post is made in a certain channel so you can be sure to "moderate" it, yet not block the publishing, perhaps notification system would be the way to go...
