RSS Posting and HTML ON option?

Hi,

I'm trying to get my RSS to post as HTML. Basically whenever the feeds are pulled from the sources I have to manually edit each post and click Advanced options > HTML ON

Is there a way I can set HTML to automatically be on, or do I need to manually edit each post?

Are you sure you want to do this? That is dangerous as the external RSS you are pulling from may have malicious script (e.g, XSS) in it.

You are pulling the content from external RSS feeds that you don't have control of, right?

Yes, pulling them from a reddit sub to be precise. I can PM you the link to the website if you want, I don't mind paying for a solution.

You may also think of a different way of it working for me. Basically I need the feed to stop showing   submitted by   in the posts.

That's my point. If you don't have control over the RSS content you're pulling, automatically enabling HTML when posting the content to your forum is dangerous as it may contain XSS.

Im having the same problem, I am trying to post some youtube videos via RSS feeds. The RSS preview shows fine, but when it tries to post its not parsing the html even as I am the administrator and I selected to allow html on that particular channel/forum.

There is still no way to automatically set this. There is an open issue to add this feature but it currently has no community votes. Without votes, it will never appear on the developer's radar. There are currently about 1200 feature requests in the issue tracker.

The security issue is minor and we allow customers to break their sites with HTML if they choose. Couldn't stop them anyway.

The user posting the RSS is me, the admin, with html posting privileges on that target forum, still when the RSS posts the html is not being parsed. I have to go to the post, edit it and enable the html and then it works. Please help.

We don't have any facility to provide paid custom code I'm afraid.

The only way to have this changed at this time would be to pay a third party coder to make changes for you. Sorry.
